Sport Stacking Pairs Floor Relay Posted by: Michael Wessner
Description: This is a relay where pairs of students link arms and use 1 hand each to upstack cups that they come to on the floor. When the reach the end of the gym, they must touch the cone and go back the way they came. On the way back, they must downstack the cups. |

Description: Team Bucketstack is a larger version of cup stacking. It involves a lot of movement and coordination. Students run across the gym to build their pyramids. Don Glover is their instructor for this fun activity. They stack and unstack 36 buckets. |

Description: SINK THE SHIP: Divide the class into two teams and have the teams sit along the sides of the gym floor. Place the folding mats flat along the sidelines, this will be known as the SHIP. Place 20 bowling pins on top of each ship (the mats). The scooters are known as the life boats, and the students wearing the life jackets (jerseys) are the only students allowed in the ocean (the space between the two ships). The remaining students must stay behind their ships (the mats). Place all the cannon balls (foam balls) in the ocean. On the signal the students on the life boats must retrieve the cannon balls out of the ocean and give it to their team. The students on the ship try to throw the cannon balls across the ocean and hit their opponents bowling pins on their ship. Once all the bowling pins are knock down, the ship as been sunk and the game is called. Change out life jackets after each round. |
