Description: Who is going to wake up the cookie monster? Students sneak up to the sleeping cookie monster. If they wake the monster they must try and run to safety before they are caught. Mr. Glover is the best cookie monster ever.

Capture the Football

Description: Students try to get the opposing team>s football across the half court line. If they get caught on the opposing team>s side, they have to go to jail. Jail is the box in the corner. To get out a member of their team must make it to the jail without being caught.

Trades Game

Description: The class is divided into two equal teams. Two lines are designated at opposite ends of the area. One team, the chasers, stands on one of the lines. The other team, the runners, starts on the other line. The runners move slowly toward the chasers while reciting the following:
Runners: Here we come
Chasers: Where from
Runners: New Orleans
Chasers: What's your trade?
Runners: Lemonade
Chasers: Show us some
As the runners are approaching the chasers they are acting out an occupation they have chosen previously. The chasers try and guess what they are. When correct the chasers try to tag the runners before they make it back to their goal line. Any runner tagged must join the chasers. The game is repeated with roles reversed.
