1. Log in to your member account and click on the Videos link on the top menu.
2. Click on the Upload a Video button on the top right of the page.
3. Enter a title for your video in the Title field (e.g. Parachute Activities).
4. In the Description field, type in a brief description for your video.
5. Click the Upload button in the Video or File section. A pop-up will appear listing the files on your computer. Select the file you would like to upload, then click Open. The file will appear under Upload Queue.
6. Under Access Restriction, select the level of access you'd like to allow for your video. Public: All site visitors can view your video. Members: Only PE Universe™ members can view your video.
7. In the Tags field, enter the keywords that will help categorize your video and provide easy searching for site visitors.
8. Click Publish when finished.

Once your video is published, you can view it on your Videos page or on the home page.

Digital Camcorder
If you have a digital camcorder (one that captures in Digital8, MiniDV, HDV, or any of the DVD formats), then you're ready to start shooting. Your camcorder will need a direct connection to your computer, either through the USB or FireWire ports, or by inserting the DVD you've recorded. Once you've downloaded the video from the camera onto your computer, you can directly upload it to PE Universe™. Or if you'd like to edit it first, open it in your editing software, save it, then upload it to PE Universe™.

Analog Camcorder
If you have an analog camcorder (one that uses VHS, VHS-C, SVHS-C, 8mm, or Hi8 tape), you can still upload your videos onto PE Universe™ with some additional equipment. Because these camcorders are usually not equipped with a computer connection, you will need to digitize the video through a converter box (this will convert the analog signal from the camcorder to a digital signal). After the video has been digitized, you can directly upload it to PE Universe™. Or if you'd like to edit it first, open it in your editing software, save it, then upload it to PE Universe™.

Most computers come with a video editing application already installed, such as Apple iMovie or Microsoft Movie Maker. These programs allow you to easily edit your videos, add soundtracks, change the file type, compress the file size, etc. If you do not have a video editing application or would like to upgrade to one with more advanced features, there are plenty of editing programs available for purchase or download online.

Each video you upload must be 100MB or less. For this reason, most videos on PE Universe™ are less than five minutes. If you are uploading a long video, you may need to compress your video using a video editor such as Apple iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. Your account is allowed 1GB (1,000 MBs) total for all media files (this includes videos, photos, audio, PDFs, Word documents, etc.).

Due to the file size, it may take several minutes for your video to appear after publishing. Once complete, you will be able to view your video by clicking on the Videos link at the top of the page.

2. Click on the Add an Idea button on the top right of the page.
3. Enter a title for your post in the Title field (e.g. Parachute Activities).
4. Type in the content you would like to share in the Description field.

If you just joined PE Universe™, your confirmation link is included in the "Welcome" email you received after signing up. If you were already a member of PE Universe™ and are now confirming your email, you will receive a separate confirmation email. If you haven't received these emails, check in your email client's spam or junk folder. If after several hours you still have not received the email, try confirming your email again with a different email address.

Each PE Universe member has their own clipboard on which they can jot down and share ideas. If you have an activity idea that is not in video format, use your clipboard to share this idea with others in the community! Your clipboard will store these ideas, as well as the media files you've uploaded (such as videos, photos, documents, etc.).

1. Log in to your member account and click on the Discussions link on the top menu.
2. Click on the Start a Discussion button on the top right of the page.
3. Type the topic of your question into the Title field, then ask your question and provide more details in the Description field.
4. When finished, click Publish.
5. View your posting by clicking on the Discussions link on the top menu. Check back to view feedback from others in the community.

To upload other types of media files, simply follow the same process for uploading a video. Once your file is uploaded, you will see it in your account along with your videos.
