Field day

Hi all,

For field day this year i'm going to focus on a cooperative games theme. Does anyone have any good ideas for activities/games that the kids would enjoy? Also, this year we will only have 40 kids in our field day, does anyone have any alternative ideas for having smaller numbers? I'm planning on renting 1/2 bounce houses for the kids.

Thanks

Craig

I love the game "SNAP!" You put into a partner group of 2 people. There is a stuffed animal or beanbag animal or even a beanbag in between on the ground. You call out, " Trapezius!" and the students have to touch their trapezius and shout, "TRAPEZIUS!" and you do this for all the muscles and they quickly learn the muscles! Then, when you say "SNAP!" the students try to be the first one to grab the animal! Afterwards, they MUST shake hands with the proper hand, and then they rotate to a new partner. We did this for field day and it was a big hit! Good luck! If you have any questions, email me at mary.cluley@ndcswf.org
