The teacher will select 1 student to be the "germ." The germ will stand in the center circle of the gymnasium. All other students will stand around the court without going out of bounds (basketball court lines). Once the game starts, the germ will try to tag other players. If a student is tagged, then they will join hands with the germ and help be a tagger. The germ can only tag with the end hands. Therefore, if a student is in the middle of the germ with no hands free, they will not be able to tag. Students are not allowed to jump over or slide under the germ. The game will end at a certain time limit or until all students have been caught. The last person caught is considered the winner. This activity is great for working on teamwork skills.
