Lizard Tag

Make a lizard tail by using a zip tie to fasten a 6 foot rope to a clothespin. Each student takes a "lizard tail" and clips it to their shirt. When the game begins students try to run around and step on another students> tail (making it fall off). If a student loses his or her tail they have to do an exercise (like 5 jumping jacks) before clipping their tail back on. Use different colored ropes to create teams as an alternative.

headed to Home depot for some rope and zip ties. My teaching partner played this game but it was called "cat and mouse" where the cats were "it". I may try and find different color rope and make it into a team like game. Cool.

Great idea. Inexpensive and very creative.
