Chicken Tag

This is a tag game we use as a warm-up activity. The equipment needed are rubber chickens and some sort of tagger (we use a foam noodle). Once a student is tagged, he/she will stand with their hands on their heads. They are not free until they throw the chicken back and forth to each other three times. After that, the student who was frozen keeps the chicken and goes to free someone else. The former chicken person just returns to the game as a normal player. After about one minute I change taggers to keep the taggers "fresh." Taggers are not allowed to tag kids who are passing the chicken back and forth.
