Students are paired up with a partner. One partner starts in the center (the Pit) the other begins on the perimeter (the racetrack). Five or six activities are set up in the center (the Pit). One partner begins in the center performing flexibility or strength exercise, while the other partner is going around the perimeter performing any locomotor movement. Intervals of 30 seconds of music with 10 seconds of silence can be used to signal role change. The student running the racetrack now goes to the pit and vice versa.
