Interesting game. I think there might be a good game concept, but I can't get past the "peg" and "hit" a runner. For me there is not a lot of movement. Seems like an easy game to just blend in as long as you are paying attention.

1.	Offense all lined up is "safe zone". One batter and one runner. Batter hits ball (we use gator skin) with closed fist. Batter and runner then run for the far end zone and stay there. New batter, new runner, hit the ball and head to end zone. Original two run back to safe zone. Each two that safely return to safe zone score a run.

2.	Defense lines up between two zones. Big rule is that defense cannot run with the ball - encourages passing and stategy. After ball is fielded then they try to hit any one of the runners before they get to their destination zone.

3.	I blow my whistle if the defense pegs a runner prior to them reaching the zone or they catch the batted ball on a fly. This signals the defense that they all need to get into the safe zone before the offense can get the ball and peg one of them. If the offense fails to peg a defensive player then the defense becomes the offense and so-on. If the offense manages to peg one of the defenders then the whistle blows again. The original defensive team now tries to peg one of the original offensive players before they get back into the safe zone. I've blown the whistle four or five times on one play before!

This game is such a quick game and can be played in all different spaces. At the end of the film you can see just how much activity goes on. If you get hit with the ball before you are in the safe zone the back and forth lateral movements can keep going and going :)
