Have you ever used jump bands instead? do you ever have a problem with kids getting their ankles cracked? I really liked the activity, good lead-up progression!

We use the jump bands as well...I give the kids a choice. We haven't had any injuries, because they have to get checked off on the steps alone and then the poles alone before they can put them together. This motivates them to really try. I posted another video showing parts of their routines...the boys especially are very entertaining!

I do the same activity with my students, but without the music first... then we progress with the music and to more complex skills. GREAT VIDEO!
