Return of the Jedi

Jedi’s try to save the galaxy (beanbags) by running them from one side of the gym to the other. The Evil Empire stand with one foot on the Death Star in the middle of the gym and throw gator balls to try and hit Jedi shoulder or below. If Jedi is hit they have to drop the beanbag where they are…Now it’s a lost planet. This game rocks!! Great way to bring FUN back into PE and make a connection with the students on something they love….STARWARS!!! Great All Level game, but ideal for older students 3rd – 12th.

I especially like the way you divide into 3 teams and rotate through the game and a water/rest break.

Great game! My students love it. I added one thing... one noodle as a light saber for the evil empire to try to get planets.

Awesome! This game brought new energy to our gym...which we really need during the long winter. Also like the light saber addition.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm glad your students are enjoying the game!! I'll have to try your Light Saber idea...Are they using it to tag the jedi, or grab lost planets within reach? I love taking good games and making them greater!! Great Job David.

YO! If you haven't tried this game with your classes yet...GET WITH THE PROGRAM! My students absolutly LOVED this game! I added one cool little tech feature to the game; there is an iPhone app called "Lightsabre." I plug my phone into my Media Station and wave my phone around when the Dark Side is throwing the balls to tag the Jedi...so awesome! It also has the Star Wars theme song that loops in the background for added audio realism! haha! Get it, set it up, play it, LOVE IT! Thanks!
