This game was taken from American Gladiators and changed for P.E.  We have several groups around the gym, but 2 main groups (Gladiators and Contenders).  The 4 sport balls are the contenders and the 3 cage balls are the gladiators.  On the signal, the groups of two roll their ball off of the tire.  Contenders are trying to find an open tire to roll their ball onto to try and score a point.  Gladiators are trying to keep the contenders away or knock their ball off of a tire.  Once a group of contenders gets their ball onto a tire, they must do 10 jumping jacks on the side of the ball marked by the red tape in order to score a point.  Both people must complete 10 jumping jacks before a point is scored.  Gladiators must roll ball to a group doing jumping jacks and hit or push their ball off with their cage ball.  Gladiators must not hit the contenders only the ball.  Students must also be aw

This game was taken from American Gladiators and just changed for P.E.  We start with 2 teams (Gladiators & Contenders).  Gladiators have taped square for their boundary & they have a noodle to tag contenders if they come inside the gladiator's box.  Contenders have to pick up a donut/tator tot to take to one of the nets to try and score a point by placing or throwing it in the net.  Gladiators don't want anyone to score so they tag, if inside the box, or swat the flying donut/tator tot, to keep it out of the net.  Contenders must get donuts/tator tots from opposite side of gym every time.

Our version of Angry Birds. Students are put into teams, we had 12, it just depends on how much equipment you have.  Each team has the materials listed below and a picture book of the different levels.  Teams will look at picture of each level and must work together to construct the level and then must take turns to try and knock down the pigs from each level.  If the entire structure is knocked down, then it's just extra, but teams only have to knock down pigs to move to next level.  If part of a structure is left, but pigs are knocked down, teams can still move on.  The team will just have a headstart on constructing the next level on a few of the first levels.  In a 50 minute class period we had several teams make it to level 13.  We played this 2nd grade through 5th grade. Items we used:  hula hoops, cones, bowling pins, empty paint cans, fabric boards, klennex boxes, boxes, treasure che
