RE: Standard report card
Our district moved to standard best report card this year.  Here is an example of the standards that appear on the district report card for 3rd grade physical education.  They are not exactly what we want because we were limited to three standards and amount of wording. Also we have to follow the district grading (4,3,2 or 1) Grade 3: 1. Demonstrates essential elements of the five manipulative skills 2. Participates in moderate to vigorious physical activity. 3. Demonstrates positive interactions with others. Grading: 4=exceeds the year end standard 3- meets the year end standard 2= on target to meet year end standard 1= progressing toward year in standard

created Health and Fitness Challenge Calender
This calender is used to encourage students to be physically active outside of school, get the appropriate number of hours of sleep and to eat their fruits and vegetables.  We offer this free incentative program to all students but they must sign-up with their parents.  This way we know the students are not just doing it for the rewards and that the family is involved in this healthy initiative.  We have about 60 students out of 200 it was offered to participating in it.  This is an example of the calender that goes home each month.

posted Field Day Help! School under construction
Field day is quickly approaching and our school is under construction.  Field day must go on but we are limited in our outdoor and indoor space.  We have decided to hold the field day under the construction theme and would love some feedback on construction related activities we could incorporate.  Some ideas we already have is builders and bulldozers, construction relays and obstacle course.
